Here are our suggestions of things to do in Los Angeles this weekend…

Tapia Brothers Farm Pumpkin Patch

Get lost. No really, get lost in Tapia Brothers Farm’s (5251 Hayvenhurst Ave) epic corn maze (an entire lot across from the patch itself) with a much-needed map and a sheet full of trivia questions. Scavenge through the maze for the answers and once you’ve found them all, submit your name in a drawing for a chance to win $100 cash—an early treat for your navigation efforts. The festive pumpkin patch also offers—you guessed it—pumpkins galore, as well as a fresh farmers’ market (with addicting kettle corn), a mouth-watering roasted corn stand, kids play area, bounce houses, hay wagon ride, tractor-pulled train and weekend-only pony rides.

Artist & Fleas
Artists & Fleas opened in DTLA’s nearby Arts District in the Summer of 2014, bringing its unique, curated market approach to a city rich with art and craft shows, fairs and venerable flea markets to create a mash-up of these environments. The market is situated in the emerging Arts District, an area teeming with studios, workspaces, fine restaurants, specialty coffee roasters, and a rapidly emerging culture of urban arts and arts exploration. Held the third weekend of every month in a former truck service station on Mateo Street, Artists & Fleas LA is a community event that showcases art, design and fashion alongside a selection of vintage and upcycled merchandise. Also present are some of LA’s most notable food trucks, makers’ workshops, and special events for the entire family.

CicLAvia
CicLAvia started as a grassroots initiative in 2008 as the outgrowth of discussions held by a number of individuals who recognized that open streets events could address active transportation, urban land use and public health needs in Los Angeles. Inspired by the ciclovía events that started 40 years ago in Bogotá, Colombia, the first CicLAvia was held on October 10, 2010. Five years and 14 CicLAvias later, more than a million people have explored more than 100 miles of open streets in Los Angeles County.
